On 1st March, 1915, the 1st Wiltshire battalion of 7 Brigade, 3rd Division were in trenches at Kemmel. During the day Kemmel cross roads was heavily shelled and at night there was a good deal of rifle fire but, according to the battalion diary only one man, Norman Pett, was killed. |
